first is documentation and research

Reading journals:

--Weather Data for the Masses

Related research:

--Weather Watcher

--Home Weather Station

--Wireless Weather Forecast

Learning technical skills and tools needed:

Doing detailed observations of use:

Conducting interviews:

The second part is stating problem and solution:

Goal:

-- Let the user to experience the weather

Context(?):

-- People choose the weather or the weather forcast in the (multi) touch screen pannel, select the data that you want to know.

-- The machine can give out senses of rain, humidity, temperature, wind by the embedded tab, fan, and water spray.

-- at the same time, user can see the bar panel showing the data of what the exact data is.

Problem:

-- Current weather forecast provide only numbers and descriptions, which are not sufficient to give real feeling of temperature, humidity and etc.

Target Users:

-- People who wants to have a weather sample from local and global for preparation.

Design Criteria:

-- Tactile experience of the weather with the available data.

-- Creating a beautiful object

-- Simple interaction

--

User Scenario:

-- Catherine travels a lot and wants to experience the weather in Mexico in August. She wants to know how hot it gets n Mexico.

-- Every morning, Kyveli used to ask her roommate how cold / hot the weather is going to be.

Her roommate Shilya was so tired of hearng same question everyday, she gave "weather sampler" to Kyveli as her birthday gift!  Now Kyveli is so happy everymorning, cause she knows what to wear through out the day!!

-- Eugene is a highschool geography teacher.

The students in her class got so excite today. Because she got the "weather sampler"! They learned the weather difference around the world in real time.
